IEEE Region 10 Humanitarian Technology Confererence 2017
The fifth IEEE Region 10 (Asia Pacific) Humanitarian Technology Conference (R10HTC) 2017 is going to be held on December 21-23, 2017. Every year the conference has been successfully organized to encourage humanitarian activities. This is the premier annual cross-disciplinary conference that provides a common platform for technologists, engineers, scientists, investors, representatives from NGOs, governments, academia and the industry to discuss recent advances in Humanitarian Technologies to foster a sustainable way of life. This year the conference is going to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh being organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section. The theme of the conference is “Smart Technologies for Humanity” and its aim is to bring together individuals conducting project and research to innovate smart technologies for humanitarian applications. In fact, smart technologies are the main focus of all areas. To have a smart society, every entity of the society, such as business organization, industry, communication system, health sector, you need to make your existing devices smart or find out new smart technologies which will be sustainable in nature.

Hack-a-thon: Design/development contest based on electrical and/or electronics circuit and software applications to meet humanitarian challenge.
- Awards/Travel Grants For winners in different categories (projects and papers).
Mentor Program: Winner of idea competitions will be getting chance to get guidance by Mentors to prepare conferencepapers. If not finally accepted, selected ideas will be allowed to present during the conference.
IEEE SIGHT groups activity presentation: IEEE SIGHT groups will be invited to present their humanitarian activities in aSpecial Session. Award will be given based on performance.
- Society Activities: Interested IEEE Societies will launch interactive programs targeting humanitarian activities.
- WIE Humanitarian Workshop: To be organized by women in engineering a nity group.
